PASIFIK, The TPNPB NEWS -- West Papua Army High Level Conference (WPA Summit) facilitated by the Head of the Defense and Security Agency.

 

 The ULMWP Menase Gebe Tabuni was held officially and solemnly for four days, 28 March to 1 April 2022 in Wara Daun, Vanimo Province, Papua New Guinea.

 Through a press statement obtained by The TPNPB News on Monday, (4/25/2022) night, it was stated that at the High-Level Congress of the West Papua Army who attended this historic moment, only two delegates from each of the three commands and the TPN-PB Military Council were eight participants.  and other additional participants.

 Head of the ULMWP Defense and Security Agency Menase Gebe Tabuni said, after discussing the trial rules, the chair of the session opened a presentation room for administrative materials, structures and work programs.

 "Until the chairman of the session acknowledges all submissions and percentages of the results of each summit for defense summit made by every child of the West Papuan nation.  Then in a comparison of command support to the results of the Totiyo-Paniai summit which

 given by TNPB, TPN-PB and the Military Council to Gend Demianus RR M Yogi is the highest support.  So it's three to one from the other commands," he said.

 So, he continued, the chairperson of the session received and ratified the results of the Totiyo Summit which was carried out based on the 2021 ULMWP Presidential Instruction, an order for the Implementation of the Summit for each command from the Head of the ULMWP Defense and Security Agency.

 “Then, the leadership of the West Papua Army (WPA) session accepted, acknowledged and ratified the results of the Totiyo Summit that the Supreme Commander of the West Papua Army was Gend.  Demianus RR M Yogi," he said.

 The Supreme Commander of the West Papua Army is Gen.  Demianus RR M Yogi revealed, history records that the formation of the PVK is seen as an embryo of a military wing movement that developed in accordance with the geopolitical and socio-cultural conditions of tribal or customary communities in each region in West Papua.

 After the disbandment of the PVK and the integration of the Papua region into the Unitary State of the Republic of Indonesia (NKRI), on May 1, 1963, former PVK combatants spread out in various customary areas and began to form their respective military wing units.

 "The process of reconciliation and consolidation of the organization of the West Papuan military wing movement began with the formation of the Kasuari and Mambruk Battalion troops, on April 19, 1964, in Manokwari, then the declaration of the TPN/OPM, March 26, 1973 at the Victoria Headquarters," said Yogi.

 Gend's son.  Thadius Kimema Djopari Magai Yogi emphasized that the union of the OPM leader, PemKA, Mr. Yakop Pray and the OPM leader, MARVIC, was Brigadier General Zet J. Rumkorem in Vanuatu in 1985.
